Our Congregation

A Historic Church at the Heart of Meriden

First Congregational Church of Meriden is a United Church of Christ congregation at 62 Colony Street in downtown Meriden. Week after week, neighbors pass through our doors to worship, study scripture, and serve those in need — filling backpacks for local students, collecting thousands of pounds of food for the Meriden Soup Kitchen, and making room for families looking for a spiritual home.

  • Rooted in Community Our Christian Outreach Committee partners with local organizations to fight food insecurity, support Meriden students, and connect neighbors with health resources.

  • A Welcoming Gathering Place Our Colony Street building hosts multiple congregations throughout the week, making it a vibrant, multicultural center for worship and fellowship.

  • Accessible & Inclusive The church is fully wheelchair accessible, and our programs reach every generation — from youth Sunday Funday events to adult Bible study and senior fellowship.
